The NASL’s Spring Season is still a few months away from kicking off, but each of the league’s 11 teams can already circle dates scheduled for the fall campaign.

NASL has announced the schedule for the league’s Fall Season, which is set to kickoff on the Fourth of July. Each team will play a 20-game fall schedule, consisting of a home and away contest which each opponent, concluding at the end of October in time for the postseason.

“The balanced schedule in the Fall Season makes for a great competition for our fans,” said NASL Commissioner Bill Peterson. “They’ll have a chance to see every team in the League at their home stadium.”

As usual, the winner of the Fall Season will earn a top-two seed in The Championship, alongside the Spring Season winner and the two other clubs with the best cumulative record.

“It’s a competitive schedule that reflects the strength of the league,” said San Antonio Scorpions head coach Alen Marcina. “It includes some marquee matchups in the final weeks, and hopefully those matches will have playoff implications because that creates a lot of excitement for our fans.”

  1. It’s nice to watch a league whose regular season matters, rather than just being an extended warm up for the playoffs, where 60% of the league’s teams qualify (looking at you, MLS).

As a Tampa Bay fan, this is a much better schedule for us than the Spring, where we play San Antonio, Minnesota and New York right off the bat. I’m really looking forward to our first away match in Jacksonville.

  2. San Antonio’s last three games are brutal. All three opposing playoff teams; @FTL, NYC and @Minnesota in October (holy frickin’ cold) in 10 days.
