  1. Gio Reyna at a crossroads, again: USMNT midfielder faces more change after Borussia Monchengladbach fire boss Gerardo Seoane

Gerardo Seoane was fired by Borussia Mönchengladbach on September 15, 2025, just three games into the 2025-26 Bundesliga season. The decision came after a 4-0 defeat to Werder Bremen and a winless, goalless start to the season, extending a winless streak from the previous season. Reserve-team coach Eugen Polanski was named caretaker manager.

I hope Gio doesn’t turn into a “Journeyman” player…… like in the curious Case of Freddy Adu. I hope this kid catches a break. Damn

    • Bizzy,

Freddy Adu’s situation has very little similarity to Gio’s.

Gio’s “representation” whether that is family, professional agents or Gio himself, has been less than impressive but at least “they”, collectively, appear to have his best interests at heart, even if they seem less than competent.

Freddy was a teenager who had some serious talent.
What he did not have was a family or “people” who had his best interests at heart. He looked like a piece on meat who was basically “trafficked” to make a buck. And even if he was the primary in charge, how many people here can say they had excellent career judgement and good financial instincts when they were a teenager?

Freddy signed with Benfica and one reason he was such a “journeyman” was that they kept loaning him out. It does not look like he could cut it with the big club. And then once his Benfica deal ran out he needed the money.

Most of the Americans Abroad we follow here seem to be so much better taken care of than Adu was, it’s pathetic. His story is an embarrassment and should serve as a cautionary tale.

You are full of shit. That is absolutely false and you posting such blasphemy is irresponsible on your part.

Freddy Adu was represented by Richard Motzkin and Dan Segal, and later Wasserman. All are knowledgeable, experienced, and well respected, Agents / Agencies in the world of global soccer.

Freddy being a journeyman, and his career never reaching the heights that were expected, is a direct result of Freddy not putting in the hard work.

Stop posting lies and bullshit on here.

      • Papi Grande,

“All are knowledgeable, experienced, and well respected, Agents / Agencies in the world of global soccer.”

Right. Everyone can judge for themselves how good a job these people did with Freddy. I’m sure they are proud of the job they did.

“Stop posting lies and bullshit on here.”

Well you would know all about lies and bullshit wouldn’t you?

Being “knowledgeable, experienced, and well respected, Agents / Agencies in the world of global soccer.” does not make you perfect or immune to failure.

If those people had Freddy’s best interests at heart they sure did a piss poor job of it. Of course, Freddy was an immature teenager with maybe not the best professional ethics or instincts.

That’s why you hire “people “.

Your people failed, no getting around that.

      • Vacqui,

The best soccer agents can’t make a player put in the hard work. What you don’t understand, is that Motzkin, Segal, and Wasserman, did such a great job with Freddy, that in spite of his shitty work habits and continual f*ck ups, they were able to continue securing him opportunities he did not deserve. That is the epitome of quality representation. Recognize, stupid.

I will give you an example you can relate to.

You are a clown. Your posts on here…always trying to troll people, spewing lies, and asking stupid questions…are a clear illustration of that. You just can’t help yourself.

In an attempt to improve your SBI Soccer image, the best PR firm in the world could be hired on your behalf, but your posts and diarrhea of the mouth, would continue to illustrate that you are a clown. That wouldn’t be the PR agency’s fault…it would be your fault.

In that analogy, the PR firm is Motzkin, Segal, and Wasserman, and you are Freddy Adu.

Freddy Adu is a loser…so are you.

      • PG,

        “V,

Prove that you are not a clown.”

If you think someone is a clown then that is your opinion and “proving it” one way or the other does not enter into it. That is the only opinion I have on the matter.

This is America and you are entitled to your opinion. For now anyway.

      • Vacqui,

You being a clown and loser is not an opinion…it is a fact.

You continue to objectively prove that.

Keep talking Mr. Diarrhea of that mouth…the more you talk…the more you validate that moniker.

It must be true, this is the internet after all.

  2. Ouch. Brutally harsh penalty called against Pepi, trying to clear a corner after chesting a ball down on the turn: the attacker came in out of nowhere and got to the ball first.

      • …and shot straight at the ‘keeper from a tight angle on a fast break when squaring to a wide-open teammate was the better option. Pulled midway through the 2nd half. I’d rate him a 3 or 4 out of 10. Dest is also having a stinker.
All of that being said, Union has been the better team.
