  1. I know white knights hate when sexuality is brought up when referring to the USWNT, but Carli Lloyd’s, “…you can come out on the field with me and run if you want.” was absolutely seductive and charming.

Impressive ability on and off the pitch.

      • How did I know that some numpty would make a politically tinged statement. Of course, he uses the paradoxical moniker ‘Voice of Reason”

    • A sports teams goal is to win the championship so winning the trophy has to be the most inspiring moment for them. The awkward call with Obama was nice but everything else after winning the trophy is icing.

  3. When he was talking about her hat trick in relation to her visualizing four goals, she thought he was asking about the Golden Ball and the technical tiebreaker. I had to look it up: Sasic and Lloyd both scored the same number of goals. The first tiebreaker is assists, and they both had 1. The next tiebreaker is minutes played (fewer minutes wins). Sasic won the Golden Ball for playing fewer minutes. That’s what Carli was referring to when the Pres asked about her visualization of 4 goals but only getting 3 in reality.

    • you know when he was saying “three is nice” to Carli, he wanted to add “i wish I could I have three, but Hillary and the constitution might have something to say about that.” Why did he keep saying “guys”? Did he not notice something about the way sydney’s shirt draps over her top, and what that indicates.

      • “guys” is acceptable in most places as a gender neutral term when referring to a large group of people.

Of course one can’t account for those who want to make a big deal out of nothing.

      • I heard that Carli said that she visualized winning the game and scoring 4 goals. I believe that was what POTUS was referring to.

    • It was quite evident that the ladies on the team were more than happy to get the call. I think that’s what really counts…not whether you like them or not.

  4. I tried watching the video but then halfway through some ridiculously loud obnoxious video ad popped up that scared that sht out of me and about blew up my eardrum. I even ended up getting a few awkward stares in the office.

Seriously, this site that desperate? You need me to donate $1 or something? I’ll click a donate now button if you put it on the page in lieu of these ridiculous ads.

    • Try Ghostery, It lets you block a bunch of adware, information gathering bots, and some stuff you may want to leave on. On some sites, I have to unblock things to be able to comment, but here, I’ve only left Gravatar and Statcounter unblocked. ( I don’t recall if they are really needed to comment, but I suspect that is why I left them on). In any case, no loud blaring ads here and some of the more annoying ads have disappeared . I hope Ives advertising staff doesn’t do something to defeat Ghostery.
