Only three regular season games remain for SBI No. 1 Creighton, but the upcoming stretch is arguably its toughest of the whole season.
The Bluejays are currently 15-0, the only unbeaten and untied record remaining in Division I, but a meeting with a pesky Xavier side is on the schedule for Wednesday.
Fabian Herbers, who has a 12 goals and nine assists, has paired exceptionally well with teammate Timo Pitter this season, as the latter has also produced seven goals and assisted thrice. The Musketeers have struggled a bit in Big East competition, but they have shown the ability to win a crucial game on the road against tough competition this season. Xavier’s 1-0 win against Notre Dame may serve as a caution for the Bluejays ahead of this week’s clash.
Meanwhile, No. 10 South Florida faces another strong opponent after tying No. 15 SMU, 2-2, over the weekend. The Bulls host No. 13 Old Dominion, which also drew Saturday in a 0-0 affair with No. 23 Kentucky. Midfielder Lindo Mfeka may be the one in form after scoring a brace for South Florida Saturday, but most goals have gone through Nazeem Bartman this year, and if the Florida side wants a win, the junior forward from South Africa will need to step up once again.

We should next level Herbers ASAP. Get him in our national team setup that is, if he qualifies, immediately. He is obviously a cut above the rest of college players, which suggests that he’s ready for the pros, now.
I don’t believe Ze German holds a US Passport.
