If the College Cup semifinals were any indication, Sunday’s final is going to be a close one.

No. 2 Clemson faces off against No. 8 Stanford in Kansas City to determine the 2015 NCAA champion (2 p.m., ESPNU). Both had to escape penalty-kick shootouts to reach Sunday’s final, with the Cardinal needing 10 rounds of spot kicks to advance.

Plenty of talented individuals will be on the field at Sporting Park, including U.S. Under-23 Men’s National Team forward Jordan Morris.

Teammates Brandon Vincent and Foster Langsdorf will also be ones to keep an eye on for the Cardinal. Meanwhile, Tigers centerback Kyle Fisher, as well as goalkeeper Andrew Tarbell, turned in superb shifts in defense against an explosive Syracuse side in the semifinals.

The Tigers are looking to claim their third program title, while Stanford has never won one.
