MLS Ticker: Valentin, Palmer, Saucedo, and more

After an original report from Goal USA recently linked Zarek Valentin with the reigning MLS Cup champions, it appears that the 24-year old will in fact make the transition:

The Portland Timbers have acquired Valentin from the Montreal Impact in exchange for an international roster slot for the upcoming 2016 season. The 24-year old made 55 appearances for Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt over the last three years. (REPORT)

Jamaican midfielder Lovel Palmer has joined NASL club Indy Eleven. The MLS veteran bounced around with four teams, most recently the Chicago Fire, before making the move to Indy. (REPORT)

Real Salt Lake is reportedly sending Sebastian Saucedo on loan to Liga MX side Veracruz for one year. (REPORT)

D.C. United re-signed 29-year-old goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra. (REPORT)

Free agent Ned Grabavoy, 32, signed with the Timbers. The midfielder makes the move out West after scoring two goals and recording three assists in 26 games for New York City FC. (REPORT)

The San Jose Earthquakes and the city of San Jose have proposed a plan to move a new soccer field complex to Guadalupe River Park. The site will feature seven fields, including three grass fields used by the Earthquakes Academy. (REPORT)

Sporting Kansas City is opening an entertainment venue in the city’s Power and Light District called No Other Pub. The location will feature a social lounge, gaming parlor and sports bar. (REPORT)

Moroccan defender Ahmed Kantari will reportedly be waived by Toronto FC after joining Greg Vanney’s side in July. (REPORT)

Veteran MLS goalkeeper Troy Perkins has been named Academy Goalkeeper Coach by the Seattle Sounders. (REPORT)
