Bobby Wood picked up where he left for Union Berlin on Friday, and it just so happens that his late finish rescued a point for his 2. Bundesliga side.
Wood got the second half of the season started by scoring an 86th-minute equalizer for FC Union Berlin in its 2-2 draw with Kaiserslautern. The U.S. Men’s National Team forward found the back of the net on an impressive solo effort, as he gathered the ball at the edge of the penalty area, beat three defenders on the dribble, and then caught the goalkeeper cheating slightly to the far post.
Wood, 22, played the full 90 minutes in the match. He now has 20 appearances for Union Berlin and a team-high eight goals.
Wood and Berlin, currently 11th in the league table, will return to the pitch on Feb. 14 against 1860 Munich.

Reminded me a little of fenomeno, during his days at inter, with his killer crossover and a real burst on goal
Smoooth!
He’s doing well enough I hope some Bundesliga team picks him up for next season. If that were to happen we could then have 3 American strikers playing in that league, which would probably be a first.
Who’s the third?
Baller!
Wow – ausgezeichnet!
That’s was nice, good to see an American beating defenders dribbling and scoring
Great goal! Hope to see more.
Wow.
Dribbling, shooting, and nunchuck skills.
BWood son.
Based on that keeper’s positioning, he must have thought Wood had no chance to go near post with his left and sold completely out to block the cross. He was wrong. Clever moves and a classy finish. Keep it up, Bobby.
Hard to blame the keeper on that one. Well taken by Wood.
I can definitely see him being the Solskjaer super-sub type forward for the US.
Yeah Union had just played a couple low crosses. I think he figured another one was coming.
