U.S. Under-23 Men’s National Team head coach Andi Herzog has been forced into making a change to his roster days before the team plays Colombia.

According to a release from U.S. Soccer, Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Tyler Miller has replaced Zack Steffen on the U.S. roster to play the CONMEBOL nation in a two-legged Olympic qualifying playoff, which will take place on Friday and March 29.

Steffen, who is currently a member of German Bundesliga club SC Freiburg, started two matches for the Americans in the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament in 2015.

Miller played with the U-23s on two occasions last year. He will join Milton Keynes Dons netminder Cody Cropper and Molde goalkeeper Ethan Horvath, who started the other three games for the Americans during last year’s qualifying tournament, on the U.S. roster that will head to Barranquilla, Colombia, to play the first leg on Friday.

What do you think of this development? Disappointed to see Steffen miss out of the series due to injury?
