Tuesday was a big day for Americans Abroad, but several other young stars will have a chance to make their mark on Wednesday.
Headlining the proceedings is Julian Green, who is reportedly expected to be in the Bayern Munich lineup for Wednesday’s DFB Pokal clash against FC Augsburg. Another young winger, Jerome Kiesewetter, may also be in action, while Christian Pulisic remains doubtful for a match against Union Berlin due to illness.
In England, Lynden Gooch will hope to push Sunderland past Southampton in EFL Cup action, while Matt Miazga and Vitesse headline Dutch Cup action in a match against RKC Waalwijk. In the evening, Ventura Alvarado and Club America take on Chivas de Guadalajara.
Perry Kitchen and Hearts are scheduled for the lone league match of the day as they take on Kilmarnock in Scottish league action.
Here’s a closer look at Wednesday’s Americans Abroad:

J Green with a headed goal(’41)off a cross from Muller……go get yours JG!!!!!
Green gets the start.
Green gets the start, Gooch on the bench, Rubin on bench, Kiesewetter came on in the 80th in a 6-1 loss.
Would be nice to see Gooch, Kiesewetter, Green, and Rubin get some solid minutes in these cup games. That’s why it is important for these squads to stay alive in these competitions as long as possible. Every minute counts for these young players.
FYI. Bayern Munich on ESPN3 @ 2:40pm. Highly likely Julian gets a run out. Try not to get caught watching at work.
