The 2016 MLS Best XI was revealed on Monday, with a pair of FC Dallas, New York Red Bulls and LA Galaxy players among the 11 on the list.
Defender of the Year Matt Hedges and Dallas playmaker Mauro Diaz were named, along with assists leader Sacha Kljestan and his fellow MVP candidate Bradley Wright-Phillips. Jelle Van Damme and Giovani dos Santos are the two Galaxy representatives in the XI.

The results of the voting led to the Best XI being listed in a 3-4-3 formation for the fourth consecutive year.
Only one of these players is in the championship game and the teams with more than one player didn’t even make their conference final. General managers should get a clue.
Is BWP really that short?
dos Santos. Wow.
(Good luck to the defenders in that attacking “3-4-3” formation)
