Americans Abroad Tuesday Rewind: Williams, Alvarado, Villafana and more

Tuesday was a good day for Danny Williams, but a poor one for each of the other Americans Abroad to take the field.

In a battle of Americans, Williams emerged victorious, toppling Tim Ream and Fulham, 1-0, in Championship action. The room boosts Reading to third in the league, while Fulham sits all the way in ninth, nine points behind Tuesday’s opposition.

Ventura Alvarado, Jorge Villafana and Santos Laguna sputtered to a frustrating Copa MX defeat, falling 2-1 to second division side Coras Tepic. The loss sees Santos Laguna earn the club’s second defeat in as many Copa MX matches, pushing them to last in Group 3.

Elsewhere, Josh Perez did not dress for Fiorentina in 1 -0 loss to Napoli in Coppa Italia play.
