It’s Manchester vs. Merseyside this weekend in the English Premier League as the two clubs in each region will square off against the other pair to headline the action.
Manchester United hosting its old rival Liverpool is expected to be the more enticing contest of the two, with both sides hoping to close the distance with league leader Chelsea. United has won nine consecutive matches in all competitions and are unbeaten through 15, while Liverpool looks to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Southampton in EFL Cup action on Wednesday. The two sides drew 0-0 in their first meeting on the season at Anfield.
In the other match, Everton hopes to regain some momentum league play when it takes on fourth-place Manchester City. Ronald Koeman’s men have conceded just seven goals at Goodison Park this season and that type of defense will be tested against a City squad that’s coming off a 5-0 thrashing of West Ham United in FA Cup action.
As for Chelsea, it will visit defending champions Leicester City after watching its 13-match winning streak in league snap last week. The Blues picked up a 3-0 win over the Foxes in their first meeting this season and will be hoping to replicate the success.
Elsewhere, a top-two match will take place in Spain as La Liga-leading Real Madrid will visit Sevilla with four points separating the two. The two sides met on Thursday in Copa del Rey action, with Real Madrid scoring two late goals to draw the match 3-3 and extend its unbeaten run to a Spanish record of 40 matches. Barcelona, on the other hand, will host Las Palmas after picking up a 3-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday in Copa del Rey.

SWANSEA CITY, because of lack of patience, fired Bob Bradley
well the stats say it all:
BEFORE BRADLEY = SUCKED
DURING BRADLEY = WERE TERRIBLE
AFTER BRADLEY = STILL SUCK
It was a thing of beauty… cool and clinical! Great 1st touch to set up the half volley. Easily the best he’s scored for the Xolos!
The assist was a nice chip over the defense as well…poor defending but a goal is a goal and an assist is an assist…
Joe Benny Caroooooooooona got on the score sheet too!
If anyone hasn’t see Paul arriola’s goal from last night look it Up, great finish
