The SBI Show: Episode 341 (Recapping the USMNT win vs. Mexico)

The U.S. men’s national team added another chapter to its lengthy history of Dos A Cero results against arch-rival Mexico on Friday and the latest episode of The SBI Show breaks it all down.

Episode 341 of The SBI Show takes an in-depth look at the USMNT’s 2-0 victory in Cincinnati, and looks at the top performances that helped lead the way, from Tim Weah, to Weston McKennie to super-sub Christian Pulisic.

Host Ives Galarcep also discusses Gregg Berhalter’s lineup decisions, which all went his way, and whether it’s time for Berhalter’s biggest critics to consider giving him some credit for the team’s run of three straight wins against Mexico.

Episode 341 also looks back at the rest of Concacaf qualifying from Friday, including Panama’s dramatic comeback win against Honduras, and Canada’s important win against Costa Rica.

  1. Ives, Sorry, I’m not a subscriber, and that’s why it took me this long to respond to your episode.

All is well for now, but I still think you gave Berhalter a little too much credit in Episode 341. There seems to be TWO Gregg Berhalters, the manager of the USMNT. When the pressure is on and his job on the line such as in the WCQ games against Mexico, the 2nd half of Honduras, Costa Rica; however, there’s also the Berhalter who made the US fans scratching their heads in the WCQ games vs El Salvador, Canada, the 1st half of Honduras & Panama. Whatever the real reasons behind the scene that caused such phenomenons, we may never be able to find out. Having said that, it does not give me, as a fan of the USMNT, a warm and fuzzy feeling not knowing which Gregg Berhalter will show up in a given USMNT’s game.
