Europe’s most interesting title race resumes this weekend, bringing two of Italy’s largest teams together for a crucial match that will go a long way in deciding 2022’s Scudetto winner. Saturday’s top match to watch goes down at the San Siro for the 230th edition and important chapter of the Milan Derby.
Inter Milan currently sits four points clear of the flock of Serie A contenders which includes AC Milan. The two have been neck and neck all season, their last matchup resulted in a 1-1 tie in November, and there is no clear favorite for Saturday’s showdown. It is also worth a mention – the fact that they are coming off the international break, and there is potential to see some rust or even a mixed squad.
Club action also resumes elsewhere over the weekend, featuring big matchups in Spain and Germany.
Barcelona’s struggles have garnered most of the attention in Spain this year, but Atlético Madrid has also left plenty of room to impress, and could realistically fall out of the UEFA Champions League picture. They go head to head on Sunday with fourth place and reputation points on the line.
