Manchester United – Leeds United headlines This Week’s Soccer on TV and Online

Leeds United’s recent addition of Weston McKennie might have overshadowed the club’s current status in the Premier League ranks.

Last year, it was spared from relegation by only one point and it came down to the final game. Now, Jesse Marsch and his contingent of Americans are in the exact same position and find themselves in a challenging run of opponents. Wednesday’s match against Manchester United will be the latest uphill battle for Marsch and co. as they search for their first league win since November 5.

Given that Everton is looking likely to march out of the drop zone with its upset win over Arsenal on Saturday, Leeds is also going to need to start finding ways to get points out of their underdog games in a hurry.

On a lighter note, Wrexham is in the world’s headlines once again this week and still alive in the English FA Cup.

Wrexham takes on Sheffield United, the same side it conceded a late heartbreaking tie to last week. Nobody expected Wrexham to make it this far, and considering Sheffield has a promotion race to run (currently second in the English Championship) , it isn’t out of the question to think Tuesday’s contest is a low-priority item.

In France, now is a good time to play Paris Saint-Germain. Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are sidelined with injuries and though Lionel Messi is seemingly limitless, you can make effort to lock him up and force someone else to be the hero for the Parisians.

That should be the agenda for Olympique Marseille when they meet PSG in the Coupe de France Round of 16 on Wednesday. Marseille is currently second in the Ligue 1 ranks and can plant some seeds of doubt with an upset win over their oversized (but currently shorthanded) rival.
