The U.S. Under-17 men’s national team continues its World Cup preparation this week with a seven-day April camp in Palm Beach, Florida.
Aaron Heard, Adam Beaudry, and Christopher Olney headlined Gonzalo Segares’ 23-player roster. The USMNT U-17’s camp will run from April 17-24 as the latest exercises ahead of the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup this November-December.
Eight players return from the U-17 World Cup qualifying roster including Beaudry, midfielders Christopher Aquino and Taha Habroune, and forwards Brian Romero and Ezekiel Soto. Habroune netted three goals in Guatemala, while Aquino and Soto each scored twice during the World Cup qualifying campaign.
Six players have been called up for their first U-17 training camp. Those players are Andrew Rick, Shawn Lanza, Peyton Miller, Adrian Pelayo, Tahir Reid-Brown, and Nimfasha Berchimas.
Julian Eyestone, Beaudry, Olney, and Heard have all excelled during the early stages of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro campaign. Many others have continued to work through the youth ranks within their academies.
