Taylor Booth made quite an impression with Dutch club FC Utrecht this season and was rewarded on Sunday with positive recognition from the fanbase.

Booth finished as runner-up for the FC Utrecht Supporters’ Player of the Year award, named the David di Tommaso award. Di Tommaso, a former FC Utrecht player, was named after the award after passing away in his sleep in 2005.

Leading scorer Anastasios Douvikas won the award after netting 18 goals in 31 appearances. Starting goalkeeper Vasilios Barkas joined Booth as a finalist for the award.

Booth, 21, has made 30 combined appearances for FC Utrecht this season, scoring two goals and adding four assists. The former U.S. youth national team player missed some time earlier this spring due to injury, but since has returned to action and helped FC Utrecht earn a spot in the Eredvisie’s Europa League Playoff qualifiers.

FC Utrecht finished the Eredivisie season in seventh place and will face Sparta Rotterdam over two legs, with the winner clinching a berth into next season’s Europa League Playoff Round.

Fellow Dutch clubs Ajax and PSV have previously targeted Booth for a potential transfer this summer.

He previously featured for Bayern Munich’s youth teams, as well as Austrian club SKN St. Poelten.
