Inter Miami – Nashville SC headlines This Week’s Soccer on TV


Lionel Messi and Inter Miami return to DRV PNK Stadium for the first time since winning the 2023 Leagues Cup.

The Herons resume MLS play this week after claiming a 2-0 road victory over the New York Red Bulls. Messi found the back of the net for the 11th time across all competitions, capping off a stellar team effort at Red Bulls Arena.

Nashville SC will oppose the Herons this week after suffering a 4-0 road loss at the hands of Atlanta United. Gary Smith’s side lost to Inter Miami on penalty kicks in the Leagues Cup Final last week and will have revenge on their minds.

Hany Mukhtar and Messi will lead the attacking groups for both teams in this Eastern Conference affair.

UEFA Champions League Qualifying continues with PSV going head-to-head with Rangers in second leg action. PSV was able to peg Rangers back for a 2-2 first leg draw in Glasgow last week, with U.S. men’s national team fullback Sergino Dest making his club debut.

Also in MLS play, Austin FC faces off with the Seattle Sounders in Western Conference action. The Sounders drew Minnesota United 1-1 on Sunday while Austin FC suffered a late 1-0 defeat at the hands of Texas rivals FC Dallas.

In England, the Carabao Cup second round kicks off with Premier League giants Tottenham facing rivals Fulham in a London Derby. Ange Postecoglou’s squad have started league play strong with seven points earned in their first three league matches this season.

Summer signee James Maddison has made an instant impact with Spurs, registering two assists and one goal in three appearances to date.
