Americans Abroad Midweek Rewind: Bello, Pulisic, and more

George Bello earned his third start of the season for Austrian Bundesliga side LASK, helping the club advance in the Austrian Cup competition.

Bello played 78 minutes on Wednesday as LASK defeated Imst 3-0 away from home. The former Atlanta United homegrown defender had previously started against WSG Tirol and Austria Klagenfurt, and earned his latest opportunity against lower-league opposition. The 21-year-old has featured as both a left back and a right back for his club and will be seeking a larger role during the fall schedule.

LASK visits Wolfsberger in Bundesliga play on Saturday before two final matches ahead of the October international break.

In Italy, Christian Pulisic registered one assist in AC Milan’s win over Cagliari. Yunus Musah appeared off the bench as well. Weston McKennie started and contributed in a 1-0 victory over Lecce.

In England, Chris Richards and Crystal Palace suffered EFL Cup elimination. Tyler Adams made his AFC Bournemouth debut.

In Brazil, Johnny Cardoso played 45 minutes in Internacional’s 2-2 first leg draw with Fluminese in Copa Libertadores action.

Elsewhere, Henry Wingo logged 90 minutes in a Ferencvaros win while Mark McKenzie missed Genk’s 1-1 draw with Club Brugge. Sam Vines did not dress for Royal Antwerp.

Chris Richards started and played 90 minutes in Crystal Palace’s 3-0 loss to Manchester United on Tuesday.

Tyler Adams came off the bench and played 20 minutes in Bournemouth’s 2-0 win over Stoke City on Wednesday.

Antonee Robinson, Tim Ream dressed but did not play in Fulham’s 2-1 win over Norwich City on Wednesday.

Weston McKennie started and played 87 minutes in Juventus 1-0 win over Lecce on Tuesday.

Timothy Weah came off the bench and played three minutes for Juventus.

Tanner Tessmann started and played 90 minutes in Venezia’s 3-1 loss to Palermo on Tuesday.

Gianluca Busio started and played 68 minutes for Venezia.

Andrija Novakovich started and played 90 minutes in Lecco’s 2-1 loss to Feralpisalo on Tuesday.

Dante Polvara dressed but did not play in Aberdeen’s 2-1 win over Ross County on Wednesday.
