The November international window was a very good one for Antonee Robinson.
Robinson not only scored for the second-consecutive match, but also earned SBI Man of the Match honors for his individual performance. The Fulham fullback scored the Americans’ lone goal in Monday’s 2-1 second leg loss to Trinidad & Tobago in CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal play.
Despite the loss in Port of Spain, Gregg Berhalter’s squad clinched a berth into the 2024 Copa America and advanced to the Nations League semifinals.
Robinson’s clinical header in the 25th minute helped break the deadlock for the USMNT. Sergino Dest’s dangerous cross was met by a diving Robinson, who watched his effort nestled into the bottom-right corner.
Trinidad & Tobago would fight back to tie things up before halftime before Alvin Jones’ free kick sealed a 2-1 win.
The 26-year-old was one of the busier players on the field, winning four duels, making four interceptions, and completing 83% of his passes. Robinson also recorded two shots on target and made seven recoveries, covering ample ground following Dest’s ejection in the first half.
After missing the October window through injury, Robinson returned in a major way with two stellar outings in competitive action.
Robinson edged out Yunus Musah and Tim Ream for Man of the Match honors.
What did you think of Robinson’s overall window? Do you see anyone challenging him for minutes at left back?

It was definitely REAM for MoM.
His calmness on the ball, accuracy of his passes and his timely interventions made him stand out.
He gets extra credit for dressing Dest down (so do Turner and to a lesser degree, Reyna for expressing their exasperation).
Dennis, I thought it was Tillman. I’m not sure they wouldn’t have given up 2 more if he hadn’t come on. I was surprised at how good he was defensively and he was quite good at holding the ball and wasting time while maintaining possession.
