Nike unveils USMNT, USWNT kits for 2024

The U.S. men’s and women’s national team’s newest kits for 2024 are set to be released this week ahead of a busy summer for both programs.

Nike released its plans for the newest USMNT and USWNT kits ahead of this summer’s Copa America and Summer Olympics competitions. March 21 is the release date for the kits, the same day the USMNT will host Jamaica in the CONCACAF Nations League semifinals.

The womenโ€™s collections will be available to purchase in June ahead of the Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

The cuffs and collar of the home shirt feature a distinct red, white and blue graphic to represent the U.S. flag. Blue is the predominant color in the USMNT away kit, but also features a splash of red and white in the bottom-left corner.

The USMNT will host the Copa America tournament from June 19 to July 14. It will be the second time in eight years that the United States has hosted the tournament, with the last edition coming in 2016.

Gregg Berhalter’s squad will play pre-tournament friendlies against Colombia and Brazil on June 8 and June 12 respectively.

  1. Best kits in probably a decade, the Waldos specifically! I’ll definitely be coping that away “bomb pop” jersey ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ฏ

  2. They’re alright, decent looking. Don’t bring about much emotion one way or another. It’s up to the team to now do some special things in them at which point I’ll associate incredible memories with them and will grow to love them. In the end- that’s what it’s about.

  3. I am conservative. If you go overboard with the flashy stuff and don’t back it up with performance, you risk looking like a clown. This is a theme US soccer and MLS should take seriously. White home shirt with blue shorts every time. Blue away shirt. Something fun for the third. This kit isn’t far off — I can live with it.

    • I dunno. I’ve always felt like national team kits should largely settle on a single identifiable design and stick with it. Germany should have plain white shirts with black shorts. France should have a blue shirt with shorts and red trim. Brazil wear a yellow shirt and blue shorts with green trim. Anything else is just wrong to me, though I’m fine with third kit experimentation. We can have a white shirt and blue shorts. That’s fine. We’re not trying to disorient our enemies or induce vertigo or something.

I do wish we’d settled on the sash-based design for the home kit, but that ship has clearly sailed.

That away kit is very “son of bomb-pop”, though. Not sure about that.
