Americans Abroad Weekend Preview: Tillman, Aaronson, and more

Reigning Eredivisie champions PSV have failed to defeat rivals Feyenoord in the last three attempts but will hope to snap that streak on Sunday in Eindhoven.

Malik Tillman and his PSV teammates welcome Feyenoord to the Philips Stadion in the headlining Eredvisie clash of the weekend. Tillman has continued to be a leading contributor in Peter Bosz’s squad this season, scoring six goals and adding one assist. The 22-year-old has made featured in all 16 of PSV’s league matches to date, while also playing a leading role in UEFA Champions League action too.

Tillman scored once in PSV’s 2-2 league draw with Feyenoord last March and is among the leading candidates to find the back of the net this time around.

PSV holds a six-point lead at the top of the league table, but are coming off a rare hiccup against Heerenveen.

In England, Antonee Robinson and Fulham face Southampton. Brenden Aaronson and Leeds United take on Oxford United.

In Germany, Joe Scally and Borussia Moenchengladbach take on Hoffenheim. Gio Reyna and Borussia Dortmund face Wolfsburg.

In Italy, Gianluca Busio and Venezia face off with Cagliari. Yunus Musah and AC Milan travel to Hellas Verona.

Elsewhere, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Celtic visit Dundee United. Marlon Fossey and Standard Liege take on Gent in Belgian League play. Tanner Tessmann and Lyon face Montpellier in Ligue 1 play. Matt Olosunde will aim to feature in The New Saints’ Welsh Cup tie.

  1. I just looked it up…Lily Yohannes and 2nd place Ajax play last place Excelsior on Sunday. Their next league game won’t be until Jan 19th.

  2. Netflix won the right to show Womens World Cup. That’s going to be a problem. Personally I’m not getting Netflix to watch the WC. No major cable company will be involved. Don’t think this will turn out well.

    • It’s one month, you won’t pay 12.99? Let’s say TNT won the rights they’d just charge Hulu or YouTube TV an extra 1.50 a month for their channel and you’ll end up paying more. Media is going to get your money one way or the other. I “cut the cord” probably 10 years ago and went to streaming. I’m paying just as much now as 10 yrs ago. Yes I have access to more content but they just found another way to get their fill.
