The U.S. men’s national team’s November schedule is set.
Uruguay and Paraguay will oppose the Americans in a two-match window this November, U.S. Soccer announced. Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania will host the USMNT-Paraguay match on November 15 before Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida hosts USMNT-Uruguay on Nov. 18.
Both Uruguay and Paraguay have clinched spots for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“The matches against two strong South American opponents are a great opportunity for our players to be challenged against the types of teams we may see in the World Cup,” Pochettino said. “As we continue to develop our group, we are looking forward to the amazing support of our fans as the excitement builds for next summer.”
It will mark the USMNT’s first match against Paraguay since a 1-0 Americans win on 2018. It is also the second meeting between the two countries in Philadelphia.
Uruguay defeated the USMNT 1-0 back in Copa America group stage play in 2024. The result eliminated the Americans from the tournament and was also Gregg Berhalter’s final match in charge of the program.

I see tickets in Austin starting at $45 and $135 for very good seats. Similar for Denver. What prices do you want to see? These prices are already a fraction of NHL/NBA/NFL regular season game.
All about the money, as always. The last time US Soccer actually tried to support their team was during the dos a cero era based mostly out of Columbus, where we could actually match the Mexican fans. It’s so frustrating because there are things US Soccer could do to help, especially ticket prices. But they don’t care about whether their team wins, just about how many butts fill seats, and who cares if it’s always opposing fans. You can’t build a fan culture while alienating all the US fans! Drop the **@#* prices, give more tickets to supporter groups, pick venues that aren’t near the border, etc. It’s not rocket science, but someone at the top actually has to care about building support. And don’t get me started on world cup ticket prices.

Absolutely! I live in Texas and was mildly excited at the upcoming October game in Austin until I saw the prices. Guess I’m watching it from home.
“All about the money, as always. The last time US Soccer actually tried to support their team was during the dos a cero era based mostly out of Columbus, where we could actually match the Mexican fans.” Playing WCQ in Minneapolis in February was trying. It was borderline dangerous but they tried. They played Panama in Texas not Florida last fall, they played Jamaica in St Louis not the east coast, they played in Nashville this summer. They played Trinidad in Austin in 2023. I would imagine when bigger teams like Germany come or countries with big ex-pat populations like South Korea come they have a lot of say in where a match takes place. I’m kind of shocked we got Japan to play in Columbus. Where do you want them to play Uruguay in November? It’s got to be an MLS town because football stadiums are in use in November. I’d like them to expand their minds a bit to a place like Louisville, they went to San Antonio a few years ago. Of course then if they can only sell 8,000 tickets what are they going charge for those.
I won’t pretend to know much about most MLS stadiums because Columbus is the only one within reasonable driving distance for me. But that’s kinda my point, can’t think even many of us hardcore fans would drop a 3-4 thousand to fly the fam somewhere, pay for 4 tickets, food, hotel, etc. for a friendly, even against a good opponent. It appears I won’t even do that for the world cup. Several years ago, I could fork over whatever for tickets, drive to Columbus, tailgate at Mapfre, let the kids run around some grass, chug a beer with Hejduk, grill hotdogs instead of paying $100 in the stadium, etc. Lower.com is a beautiful stadium, but the experience is not the same. We have a pretty massive (if fragmented) youth soccer setup here in the US. Why does US Soccer not work to make it easier and cheaper for these kids and their parents to get to US games? Integrate the youth clubs into a USMNT supporter group, let a bunch of youth players get in a game free (parent will still need ticket) and walk out at halftime. I mean I’m a science guy, know nothing about marketing, but it just seems like US Soccer isn’t even trying.
It’s math they can charge 100 bucks to 10,000 people and bring in a 1,000,000. You charge 20, you need 50,000 fans. That costs a lot in marketing to attract and bigger rental fees to hold in bigger stadiums. It’s just easier to charge more and get less fans in smaller stadiums. And when you can easily sell out 20,000 to expat fan bases who will pay because they might not have another chance for 20 yrs it’s an added bonus. The business side of USSF doesn’t really care about growing the game, just making sure the lights stay on in Chicago. If they played in Louisville or Colorado Springs, they’d have to charge 200.
I get the math johnny, and am not completely against it. Just saying why not pull some levers to help turn out more US fans also. It’s just so frustrating and demoralizing to see what seems like less support now than 15-20 yrs ago for the usmnt. Can’t imagine how the players must feel. We must be the only international team that never gets a home game.
It’s kind of like they don’t think the sport needs to grow anymore. It’s not just US Soccer though, I live in a college town and if I wanted to take 4 of my family to a football game it’ll be over $500. Heck there is an NBA DLeague team down the road and if you want decent seats it’s 40-50 a ticket. You can usually get them pretty cheap day of on second hand market but still.
What the heck USA soccer?!?! Great opponents but as always, scheduling in regions the opposing fans will dominate.
