AC Milan boss Allegri hopes to have Christian Pulisic back in two weeks

Christian Pulisic will not return to action for AC Milan in these next two Serie A matches.

Rossoneri manager Massimiliano Allegri confirmed on Monday that Pulisic is not slated to be part of the upcoming pair of league fixtures. Pulisic has been sidelined since October 14 after picking up a hamstring injury while on international duty with the U.S. men’s national team.

The 27-year-old has missed AC Milan’s two league matches since the October international window and is prepared to miss an additional two this week.

While Allegri did not officially say Pulisic will be back for November 8th’s league showdown with Parma, he hopes to have his star attacker back available for that contest.

“Absolutely not against Roma. We hope to have him on the bench against Parma,” Allegri said in a press conference Monday.

Pulisic starred during the opening stages of the domestic season, scoring six league goals and adding two assists for the Rossoneri. He earned Serie A Player of the Month honors for September, while also earning AC Milan’s MVP award for the same month.

However, his absence has forced others to step up in the final third.

His latest injury spell has led AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani to reportedly open talks with U.S. Soccer over Pulisic’s availability for the November FIFA window. Mauricio Pochettino’s squad will take on Paraguay and Uruguay in a pair of home friendlies, which will serve as the program’s final matches of 2025.

Should Pulisic return against Parma on Nov. 8 and earn a USMNT call-up, those would potentially be his only minutes before the international window begins.

    • CP definitely should NOT be called up for November 15 and 18 friendlies if he is not back with AC Milan until Nov 8.

I am afraid that CP in 2026 is going to be Jozy Altidore in 2014. After fighting through some injuries, he looks good in the pre-tournament games, and then plays 20 minutes in the first game and pulls up lame. I hope to be wrong.

      • I’ve been having the same uncomfortable feelings. These games are good for prepping for that scenario though. They did just fine without him last time out.

I bet CP will be better protected in a World Cup by the group of FIFA-WC refs, compared to the CONCACAF refs monitoring the friendlies. At least in the group stage.

The home team star. He will be kicked, but hopefully not every time like he was in the last CONCACAF tourney he played and against Australia. Hopefully (further) somebody on the USMNT steps up to protect him too. Richards just barely started to do that against Australia.
