Christian Pulisic’s first-half exit from AC Milan’s Serie A match on Friday surely had Rossoneri and U.S. men’s national team fans holding their breaths, but luckily for the attacking star, his injury doesn’t sound too serious.
Pulisic was substituted off in the 37th minute of AC Milan’s 2-1 loss to Atalanta with a “minor calf strain” Paulo Fonseca confirmed postmatch. However, Fonseca also confirmed that Pulisic’s injury doesn’t look “too serious”, easing worries about a long-term absence for the 26-year-old.
Pulisic suffered a hard foul from Atalanta’s Mario Pasalic in the 32nd minute and although he tried to continue, was eventually replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Pulisic has been one of the Rossoneri’s best players this season, totaling eight goals and six assists in 19 combined appearances. The Pennsylvania native has helped the Rossoneri remain near the top six in Serie A, while also picking up crucial league phase results in the UEFA Champions League.
The Rossoneri have four final matches this year, with three of those coming in domestic play.
so he suffered a calf strain from a hard foul? that’s weird. looked like he was grabbing his ankle but we’ll see. mean foul
Fonseca apparently said it was minor post match.
yes we did use his quotes postmatch!
Walked off on his own, usually a sign itâs not too serious. Hopefully he wonât miss too much.
Dang it! Been hella busy, Just moved to Brunswick Georgia, so def gonna have to get back watching AC Milan.
