AC Milan has relied on U.S. men’s national team star Christian Pulisic heavily this season and the 26-year-old stepped up majorly on Saturday to help get the Rossoneri back on track.
Pulisic scored twice to help the Rossoneri earn a 3-2 road Serie A victory over Lecce. The USMNT star earned SBI Americans Abroad Player of the Week honors following his impactful showing at the Stadio Comunale Via del Mare.
With AC Milan staring down a 2-0 deficit, Pulisic helped spark a major comeback.
A Lecce own goal cut the Rossoneri deficit in half before Pulisic drew a penalty kick and delivered from the spot. With both teams seeking a winning goal, Pulisic finished off a Rafael Leao assist to make it 3-2 and ease the rising tension and pressure on manager Sergio Conceicao.
Conceicao, who has only worked with Pulisic for three months, praised Pulisic’s efforts following the win.
“Starting from the wing, he feels very comfortable in the central corridor, then it depends on the game,” Conceicao said. “Today he started on the left, he is a player with great technical qualities and very intelligent. He can play behind the striker or on the wings but coming inside is the best position.”
Pulisic now has 14 goals and nine assists this season, remaining one of the Rossoneri’s best attacking threats. Despite a slight hiccup in production over the last few weeks, the Pennsylvania native looks to be moving back to his best.
Here is a look at some of the other top Americans Abroad performers from this past week:
Tyler Adams
Another strong 90 minutes for Tyler Adams will have Mauricio Pochettino very pleased.
Adams excelled in Bournemouth’s 2-2 draw at Tottenham, winning eight duels and completing four tackles. The USMNT midfielder recently earned Player of the Month honors and followed that up with his latest defensive gem.
Crystal Dunn
U.S. women’s national team veteran Crystal Dunn helped set up the winning goal for PSG. Dunn played 86 minutes and assisted once as Dunn defeated Saint-Etienne 2-1 to advance to the tournament semifinals.
Teaming up with Korbin Albert, Dunn has made a positive transition to life in France.
Josh Sargent
The hot run continued for Josh Sargent.
Sargent scored his 12th goal of the EFL Championship season as Norwich City tied Oxford United 1-1. The USMNT forward has now scored eight goals in 2025, riding one of the better runs of form of his career to date.
Despite any hiccup, Sargent will likely be leading the USMNT line this month when Nations League play resumes.
Tanner Tessmann
It was back-to-back starts and wins for Tanner Tessmann this week.
Tessmann helped Lyon place one foot into the Europa League quarterfinals and also earn a vital road win in Ligue 1 play. The American midfielder continues to make the most of his opportunities, taking his season appearance total to 23 in all competitions.
Tessmann will hope to carry this individual form into a USMNT call-up.
What did you think of these individual performances this past week? Was there anyone left off the list that you would’ve added?

Fabian Hurzeler should be getting more love for his managerial work with Brighton. If Poch exits left after the 2026 WC for the Argentina job (which will probably be likely) US should have Hurzeler at the top of their list to take over.
If Fabian keeps it up he may be out of our price range(!) before long.
I’m in the wrong profession.
And Fabian will have no lack of opportunities
And if Mauricio does pull this off and leaves anyway, the USSF will have lots of people calling. They won’t have to put an ad in INDEED.
