Tullis-Joyce, Macario to meet in Women’s FA Cup Final

A trio of U.S. women’s national team players will meet in May 18th’s Women’s FA Cup Final.

Phallon Tullis-Joyce and Manchester United will take on Catarina Macario, Mia Fishel and Chelsea after both clubs advanced this weekend to the tournament final. USWNT’s Naomi Girma, who is on the Chelsea squad, is currently sidelined through injury.

Tullis-Joyce registered a four-save clean sheet on Sunday as Manchester United defeated rivals Manchester City 2-0. The 28-year-old goalkeeper made her senior USWNT earlier this month in friendly action against Brazil.

Tullis-Joyce has made 18 appearances for Manchester United since joining from OL Reign in 2023.

Macario was a late substitution in Chelsea’s 2-1 semifinal victory over Liverpool on Saturday. The USWNT attacker recently scored in international action over Brazil.

Fishel was an unused substitute against the Reds on Saturday.

Chelsea will be seeking its sixth FA Cup while Manchester United aims to win its second.
