The U.S. women’s national team will enter the summer staying in the No. 1 spot.
Emma Hayes’ squad remained No. 1 in the second FIFA Women’s Rankings of the new year, FIFA announced Thursday. The USWNT have played seven matches in 2025, most recently taking part in a pair of home friendlies.
The Americans earned a 3-0 victory over China before closing out their recent window with a 4-0 triumph over Jamaica. It marked a pair of shutout victories after the USWNT fell to Brazil 2-1 on April 8.
The USWNT’s busy summer continues with a trio of matches taking place between June 26-July 2. The Republic of Ireland will oppose the Americans twice during that span before the window concludes with a showdown against CONCACAF rivals Canada in the nation’s capital.
Spain and Germany stayed right behind the USWNT in the top-three while Brazil leapfrogged England to round out the top five.
Sweden, Japan, Canada, North Korea, and France rounded out the Top-10.
