AFC Bournemouth enjoyed new heights last season under Andoni Iraola and will be seeking to replicate that success during the 2025-26 English Premier League campaign.
U.S. men’s national team midfielder Tyler Adams and his Cherries teammates kick off their new league season on the road at reigning champions Liverpool on Friday. Adams, who delivered one of his best club seasons last year, is fully fit and ready to go.
Adams was part of Bournemouth’s summer tour of the United States after playing a large role in the USMNT’s run to the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final. The veteran midfielder’s strong work rate and defensive abilities will be key for Bournemouth this season as they try to fight for a Top-10 spot.
An opening night trip to Anfield won’t be easy, but having a healthy and confident Adams could prove crucial in Bournemouth’s quest to pull a major upset.
Elsewhere in England, Brenden Aaronson and Leeds United face Everton to close the weekend’s action. George Campbell will aim to remain in West Bromwich Albion’s starting lineup for an EFL Championship trip to Wrexham.
In Spain, Johnny Cardoso and Atletico Madrid begin their La Liga campaign.
In Germany, Joe Scally and Paxten Aaronson headline the American contingent who kick off their domestic schedules with DFB Pokal action.
In France, Tim Weah begins his new opportunity with Marseille while Tanner Tessmann and Mark McKenzie continue their runs with Lyon and Toulouse respectively.
Elsewhere, Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah could both feature when AC Milan begins Coppa Italia involvement. Auston Trusty seeks his first start of the season when Celtic hosts Falkirk in League Cup play. Sergino Dest seeks his third-straight goalscoring performance when PSV takes on FC Twente. Bryan Reynolds and Westerlo face Cercle Brugge. George Bello and LASK entertain Austria Vienna in Austrian league play.

“Quietly just filling their roster with the US U20 team.”
Has anyone else ever done that before? Not a bad idea if you can do it, at least as far as the USMNT is concerned.
We’ve had some Philly and FC Dallas heavy lineups before, but never a club searching them out and bringing them in as far as I can remember. The weird thing is they’ve got 4 FBs from the U20 pool. Right to Dream is about the academy to club to sell for a profit method. They don’t really have academy players yet so get these guys on loan sets the tone that they develop and play young players.
San Diego now bringing in RB Leo Duru on loan. Quietly just filling their roster with the US U20 team.

Mathis Albert scores again 2g 4a a penalty drawn and a forced own goal.
