The 2025-26 English Premier League will see four American players lead the way in the upcoming season.
Antonee Robinson, Chris Richards, Tyler Adams, and Brenden Aaronson are the four U.S. men’s national team players preparing for this weekend’s opening round of matches.
Robinson won’t be part of Fulham’s opening matches of the season due to injury, but is expected to play a large role once again this campaign. The Fulham left back is among the best at his position in England’s top flight and will be eager to prove that for the Cottagers again.
Richards is fresh off of winning back-to-back trophies, helping Crystal Palace qualify for a European competition for the first time. The USMNT centerback remains a vital part of Oliver Glasner’s squad and is seeking to transfer that club success over to the international level.
Adams enters the new season off of one of his best at club level. After contributing to Bournemouth’s top-half finish in 2024-25, the veteran midfielder remains a vocal leader in Andoni Iraola’s squad for this campaign.
Aaronson and Leeds United are back in the Premier League after winning the EFL Championship last season. Despite some up-and-down spells in Daniel Farke’s squad, Aaronson should compete for a starting job in midfield.
In addition, dual-national Luca Koleosho is also a player to watch during the upcoming campaign. Koleosho, who has mainly represented Italy’s youth national teams, is eligible for the USMNT.
He helped Burnley earn promotion back to the top-flight and will fight to play a large role in Scott Parker’s squad.
Here is a look at the American players in the English Premier League this season:
Antonee Robinson, Fulham

Fulham is seeking to be in the European race this season and a healthy Antonee Robinson could boost those hopes.
Robinson is set to miss the opening weekend through injury, but should be back for the long run of the campaign. The veteran left back registered 10 assists last season in what was a career-best haul for him, totaling 38 appearances in all competitions.
His strong two-way abilities led to reported interest from Liverpool and Manchester City, but Robinson stayed at Craven Cottage. Now he will aim to get back to 100% fitness before reclaiming his spot on the left side of Marco Silva’s defensive flank.
Chris Richards, Crystal Palace

Fresh off of a career-best year, Chris Richards looks ready to remain a consistent starter for Crystal Palace.
Richards helped the Eagles claim their second trophy in four months last weekend, as Oliver Glasner’s men defeated Liverpool to lift the FA Community Shield. It marked the second celebration for Richards in 2025, a theme that the American defender will hope doesn’t stop this season.
A leading figure for the USMNT, Richards should be tasked with even more minutes.
Tyler Adams, Bournemouth

Bournemouth’s quest for a second-straight finish in the top ten could rely on a healthy Tyler Adams.
Adams, 26, made 32 appearances for the Cherries last season, which marked the most appearances for him since the 2021-22 campaign. The USMNT midfielder played week in and week out in Andoni Iraola’s squad, helping Bournemouth finish in the top half and almost claim the scalp of Manchester City in the FA Cup.
After a busy summer at the Gold Cup, Adams should be rearing to go as Bournemouth kicks off the opening weekend action at Liverpool.
Brenden Aaronson, Leeds United

A bounce-back season for Brenden Aaronson helped Leeds United return to the bright lights of the Premier League.
Aaronson totaled a career-high nine goals in 47 appearances for the Lilywhites as Daniel Farke’s men held off Burnley to the EFL Championship title. The 24-year-old played a small role during the CONCACAF Gold Cup though, bringing a few worries about his international status going forward.
If Leeds United wants to have few relegation worries this year, it will need Aaronson to be amongst the goals again. However, a dip in production could see the former MLS homegrown potentially looking elsewhere.
Luca Koleosho, Burnley

20-year-old Luca Koleosho is a name that USMNT fans will want to watch closely.
Eligible for Italy, Nigeria, Canada, and the United States, Koleosho helped Burnley to automatic promotion and remains a young talent in Scott Parker’s squad. Koleosho scored two goals in 30 appearances last season, featuring mainly as a winger.
Burnley will need attacking help to fight off potential relegation and Koleosho is expected to be part of that group.
gabriel slonina has been repeatedly loaned, and has been issued a chelsea shirt number before, but as of the moment, they have been dressing him as an unused sub for preseason games against teams like leverkusen and ACM.
they only have 3 keepers issued numbers. they loaned out 2 other keepers.
maybe CFC does a deadline deal for another backup keeper then ships him back out, but i understood they needed to watch their finances. so slonina is current first team. whether he plays, CFC used 2 first team keepers last year for games, and 2 first team keepers for recent friendlies, but who knows.
Sanchez won Chelsea the Club World Cup and his backup Jorgensen was in goal for their Conference League run to the title. Gaga isn’t playing for Chelsea this year unless one or both of those guys leave or get hurt.
