Americans Abroad Weekend Preview: Musah, Pulisic, and more

It’s been an unbeaten start for Atalanta in Serie A play this summer.

Ivan Juric’s squad enter Matchweek 4’s trip to Torino, seeking to extend its unbeaten start to the league campaign. Yunus Musah is a new face in the Atalanta squad after making the loan move from AC Milan for the 2025-26 season.

Musah made his club debut last weekend in a 4-1 Serie A win over Lecce before also logging 75 minutes midweek in a 4-0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

  1. Frank lampard is in love with Haji Wright. Having a coach that believes in him and supports him is one of the reasons he’s excelling at Coventry:

“Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard raves about 27-year-old USMNT striker Haji Wright, who is tied for most goals in the Championship alongside Josh Sargent with 5.

“We’ve got our Haji and what we’re seeing now, I think, is the work that we’ve been able to do with him on the training pitch through pre-season.”

“There’s a really good energy about Haji at the moment and he’s a very, very good player. So we’re happy to have him and I hope we’ll push that and that he remains as consistent in how he started the season because he’s shown already what I believed in him anyway. But in the role he’s been playing, which has been more central now, he’s a very dangerous player, so I’m very happy with him.”

“Haji was already a good player, I know that, but to see the feeling that he has at the moment, I think a top player needs to not just have that base talent. They also have to have that sort of air of confidence and you get the feeling that they’re really taking a grip of their responsibility within the team.”

“And he’s a big figurehead for us at the top end of the pitch. So from our point of view, me and my staff, working with him, talking with him, it’s good to see him playing well, but obviously he needs to remain consistent with that.”

    Wow….
