The U.S. women’s national team ended its October window in emphatic fashion.
Emma Sears registered a hat trick, Catarina Macario added a brace, and Rose Lavelle also scored in a 6-0 home victory over New Zealand in Kansas City, Missouri.
It marked back-to-back wins for the program after they suffered a hiccup against Portugal back on October 23
Sears needed just eight minutes to propel the Americans in front at CPKC Field. Michelle Cooper played a pass into the box, allowing Sears to slot home for a 1-0 lead.
Macario delivered a top-shelf finish in the 34th minute to make it 2-0 before Lavelle’s long-range strike 10 minutes later gave the USWNT a three-goal cushion at halftime.
The offensive onslaught continued with Sears adding her second goal before the hour mark, finishing off another Cooper assist for a 4-0 scoreline.
Macario made it 5-0 by slotting home her second goal of the night before Sears capped off her hat trick with a close-range finish off of a set-piece situation.
Claudia Dickey registered a two-save clean sheet, giving the Americans their fifth shutout in the past seven matches.
Emma Hayes’ squad will close out their 2025 schedule with a pair of matches against Italy on November 28 and December 1 respectively.
