Major League Soccer revealed its full 2026 regular-season schedule on Thursday afternoon with the league campaign set for its start date in mid-February.
The party gets underway on February 21 with Lionel Messi and Inter Miami facing Son Heung-Min and LAFC at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Other key matchups on opening weekend include St. Louis CITY SC’s home date with Charlotte FC and NYCFC’s visit to the LA Galaxy.
The league will take a close-to-two-month pause from May 25-July 16 due to the 2026 FIFA World Cup taking place in North America.
Rivalry Week will take place from July 16-17 after the World Cup semifinals are concluded. Among the matches are Toronto FC visiting CF Montreal, the Seattle Sounders hosting the Portland Timbers, and the LA Galaxy hosting LAFC.
The 2026 MLS All-Star Game is slated to take place on July 29 at Charlotte FC’s Bank of America Stadium.
The 2025 Leagues Cup will take place between July 29 – August 31, putting a halt to the regular season schedule for over one month.
The regular season comes to an end on November 7, with the Eastern Conference matchups taking place at 4 p.m. ET and the Western Conference fixtures taking place at 7 p.m. ET. Additionally, CF Montreal will face the Vancouver Whitecaps in a non-conference matchup on the same day.
After the November international break, the MLS Cup Playoffs will begin over a one-month period, culminating with the league final in December. Dates for the playoffs and MLS Cup will come at a later date.
Each club will play 34 games, with 17 being at home and 17 being on the road. A full breakdown of the schedules for every MLS club can be found here.
