Josh Sargent available for Norwich City-Watford match

Norwich City manager Philippe Clement will have Josh Sargent available for selection ahead of the club’s final match of 2025.

Despite Sargent missing the Canaries’ 1-0 home win on Boxing Day, the American forward has been listed as available for Monday’s date with Watford. Sargent was originally set for a return on Friday, but was not named in Clement’s squad after a late setback.

The 25-year-old last featured for the Canaries on December 9, playing 44 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United. After being diagnosed with a concussion after the trip to Bramall Lane, Sargent missed the next three matches for the Canaries.

However, all signs are pointing for Sargent to play a part at Carrow Road on Monday night.

“Josh has been training; he felt well and looked well and he will be available for selection tomorrow night,” Clement said in a prematch press conference Sunday.

Sargent has contributed seven goals and three assists in 21 appearances across all competitions. His last goal coincidentally came against Watford at Vicarage Road back on December 6.

The Canaries are one point from safety after 23 matches played this season and could jump out of the relegation zone with a victory on Monday.
