The U.S. women’s national team kicked off its 2026 in emphatic fashion.
Emma Hayes’ squad rolled to a 6-0 home friendly win over Paraguay on Saturday at Dignity Health Sports Park. Reilyn Turner scored her first senior goal, Ally Sentnor added a brace, and Trinity Rodman and Emma Sears also found the back of the net.
Turner propelled the Americans in front before halftime after slotting home Olivia Moultrie’s pass for a 1-0 lead. The 23-year-old was making her senior debut for the program and proceeded to kickstart a busy day for the hosts.
Sentnor doubled the Americans lead two minutes into the second half, roofing a left-footed shot into the top corner.
After Paraguay’s Fiorella Martinez was guilty of conceding an own goal for the USWNT’s third goal, Rodman added her name to the scoresheet three minutes later.
An over-the-top pass from Tara McKeown led to Rodman cutting onto her left foot and drilling a low shot into the bottom-right corner.
Off the ensuing restart, Sentnor made it 5-0 to the USWNT by scoring her second goal of the match. A though ball pass from Gisele Thompson led to Sentnor racing upfield and slotting home into the far corner of the Paraguay net.
Sears delivered the USWNT’s sixth and final goal of the match with 18 minutes to play, cutting onto his right foot and stroking back across the box into the far corner.
Hal Hershfelt, Emily Sams, and Maddie Dahlien were among the players to feature off of the bench in the lopsided win.
The USWNT will close their two-match window on Tuesday against Chile at Harder Stadium in California.
