The Scottish Premiership title is staying at Celtic Park after a dramatic season finale.
Auston Trusty and Celtic used a 3-1 comeback victory over Hearts to capture a fifth-straight league title and 56th overall in club history. Trusty started and played 90 minutes, earning his second league title with since joining the club in August 2024.
Lawrence Shankland headed Derek McInnes’ squad in front before halftime, giving the then-league leaders a 1-0 lead.
However, Arne Engels equalized from the penalty spot for Martin O’Neill’s men after Alexandros Kyziridis was whistled for handball in the box.
Daizen Maeda propelled Celtic in front with three minutes to go after slotting home Callum Osmond’s assist. VAR took a look at the play, but ruled that Maeda was not offsides in the build-up.
Osmond capped the comeback in style by adding an insurance goal in stoppage time, giving Celtic a memorable comeback win.
It was heartbreak for Hearts, who were seeking a first league crown since 1960 and led the table for 250 days this season.
Trusty now has won three trophies as a Celtic player after registering his 40th appearance of the season. Injured American defender Cameron Carter-Vickers earned his 10th trophy (fifth league title) with the club. Carter-Vickers had been out of action since late-October due to an Achilles injury.
Up next for Celtic is a date with former manager Neil Lennon and Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Cup Final on May 23.
