Molde FK will be American goalkeeper Ethan Horvath’s home for a little bit longer.
On Friday, the Norwegian Tippeligaen club announced the extension of the 20-year-old’s contract by one year to 2018.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says that Horvath deserves the reward of an extension after demonstrating his skill during the 2015 campaign.
Horvath shared goalkeeping responsibilities during the 2015 season, appearing in 17 league games. He has also started in three UEFA Champions League games and eight Europa League games during the 2015-16 competitions.
Molde is still competing in the Europa League, and will play Sevilla in the round of 32 on Feb. 18 and Feb. 25. The club will begin its domestic season on March 12 against Tromsø.
At the international level, Horvath started between the pipes for the U.S. Under-23 team that finished in third place during the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament.
What do you think of Horvath’s extension? What are your expectations for the goalkeeper in the next few years?

The anti-Morris. He has cajones.
our next starting keeper for NT
He has a great chance to be the next US Keeper, but he’ll still have competition with Steffen.
steffen has to make some strides in the coming years though
Not bald enough to be the next NT Keeper…
Kid is 20 yrs Old. Given some time he may be as bald as Timmy. Besides just because the last 4 keepers were bald doesn’t mean that it has to be the case in the future. Don’t forget that Tony use to have the flowing mullet back in the day.
I think Bill Hamid is better.
I agree that Hamid is better, but he can’t stay healthy.
