  1. Wow the ref is having a stinker. Penalty for rodriguez called against HIM and then down on the other side a penalty on the US. Terrible.

  2. Gil and Renken are playing U-20 now I think. Too bad U-20 missed their World Cup. But the U-17s are missing our best striker, Andrew Oliver.

  3. Credit to the U17s for attempting to play attractive ball. Maybe someday we’ll pull it off. But in the meantime ball movement is way too slow for the Uzbeks, who pick em off and counter. We’ve had very few forays into the Uzbek third.

  4. I haven’t followed our U17 much but aren’t we missing some big name kids (Gil, Renken) or are they older? Are any of these kids people to keep an eye on?

  5. Watching UK Eurosport, I think the announcers have started playing cards and keep talking about the lack of people in the stands

  6. We look really lazy and uninterested. Our performance against the czechs wasn’t a fluke, but Wilmer needs to tear into these kids at the break because it has been terrible through the first 45.

  7. The announcer isn’t just saying it once he is repeating again and again.. and thats a tough call on whos playing worse.

  8. Going with Amon so far..but no one on this team has looked even remotely good. I tuned in when I saw we beat the czech republic 3-0 and am thinking that it must have been a fluke.

  9. Wow we look terrible, even the ESPN3 commentator is saying how can a team look so good one day and so bad the next.

Who is worse, Amon or Carroll?

  10. I think if somone gets hurt and needs trainer assistance then they should stay off the field for at least 10 minutes just for precaution

  11. I really don’t understand this worthless, idiotic style of play we are attempting…keeping possession is great if you can switch the field and find some penetration through the midfield to create chances, but every time we switch the field it takes 4 passes and at least 20 seconds and then when we do get it to the other side they’ve easily closed it down and we pass it 30 yards back again. This is a sad day for me, i thought by now we had competent coaches able to teach our youth some creativity and effective playing styles, so much for that…

  12. Really? I thought it was our senior team. lots of lat and back passes but not much going forward. Especially against a team that we should be blowing out.

  13. US is down by a goal but at least they are playing more attacking/attractive football compared to the senior team in the Gold Cup….

  14. Wow imagine that a dissallowed goal in a WC!?!?!?! Defender didn’t even attempt the ball should be 2-1 instead it is 1-0.

  15. Now the Uzbeks got robbed on a missed offsides. The US better start holding onto the ball.

Apparently, it’s so hot there that fatigue WILL factor in later in the game.

  16. Should be 2-0 Uzebekitan. Our CBs are not good and the second goal was called offsides but replays show he was clearly onside by a yard or two. Not impressed with the US so far.
