  1. Uzbek deserved this win. They had aggressive team D – gave US little time on the ball. They were better on the ball. US coughed up many bad passes and poor first touches. Representative score.

  2. Yeah Chicharito, Messi, and Rooney all didn’t play in a U-17 world cup. US soccer will survive. U-20 is a much better indicator. U-17 is way to young. I think ignorance and melodrama like yours hurts US soccer much more.

  3. The ref can and has changed the game…happens all the time…a ref liek this will force you to play different especially with the cards eh has handed out…

Bottom line is a bit fishy to have Russian refs in this game…

Pretty much pros? They are or they aren’t….

Way to early to pass judgement on any careers at that age….

  4. This isn’t rec-league, these kids are pretty much professionals at this point. Young? Yes. Too early to pass judgment on their careers? Yes. But you can still note when someone has a crappy performance. Dunn and Carroll have had crappy performances, as has much of the squad, but especially them.

And TimF is right, Uzbekistan has outplayed us. Ref hasn’t helped at all, but we’ve still been outplayed.

  5. Are you blind?

And nice ripping on 16 and 17 year old kids…wow…low class indeed…

About as pointless as your post…

  6. I can’t believe you guys are blaming the refs. The scoreboard is a fair result of the actual play on the field. Uzbekistan completely outplayed them today.

Also, Dunn is garbage. I cannot accept that he is the best player available to play that position. Horrible, slow, can’t pass or win the ball. Pointless player.

  7. Statements like these are why US soccer continues to struggle. While others demand success of their youth teams and push out Chicarito’s, Messi’s and Rooney’s we just overlook the fact that they are the next stars and let them get by with mediocrity.

  8. Uzbeks outplaying the US. Lots of poor first touches & give-aways by US. We just don’t look comfortable on the ball.

  9. I can he is aa Russian ref with two Russian linesmen hooking up his ‘homeboys’….and I’m very serious saying that…I’ve seen ti before and will again…

  10. Dunn and Carroll are absolute trash this game. Good lord. Haven’t seen anything really from Pelosi either. Only ones doing anything are Guido, Koroma, maybe Acosta.

  11. Russian ref hooking up his ‘homeboys’…this guy isn’t even trying hide his biasis…go figure…

Seems just about every call is against us…hard to overcoem that…

  12. Yeah, pretty egregious, especially the missed call, where the defender basically came flying in and completely took our our guy while not even attempting to play the ball, let alone making any contact with it. At least there was some fighting for position on the penalty he did call, but it did seem like the Uzbek attacker went down on his own.

  13. It’s refreshing to see that no matter the geography, an underdog team playing the US will look for every chance to flop around and lie on the ground.

  14. Serious double mistake by the ref. Clear penalty not given to us, very questionable penalty called against us. That could very well be the difference in this game.

  15. Haha, you could hear Wilmer say “hey, where’s he going?” as a Uzbek player ran a full 20 yards up the sideline to take his throw-in.

  16. Losing to Uzbekistan would be so embarrassing. We need to stop losing to no-name, third world countries that don’t even have running water.

  17. Wow. Ridiculous disparity between two similar events in each teams penalty box. Foul called against US attacker at one end when a no call was probably best. And then Uzbek attacker with a total flop to earn a penalty.

  18. totally a blown call. Should have been a PK. Then uzbeck dives in the box and gets the PK.

FIFA refs suck big fat you know what
