Transfer deadline day for many European leagues is upon us after a weekend full of intense matches, and the announcement of an impending coach has stolen the spotlight this Monday morning.

After weeks of speculation, Manchester City confirmed that current manager Manuel Pellegrini will leave the club at the end of the 2015-16 season, and current Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola will replace him on a three-year deal. (REPORT)

Chelsea defender John Terry, 35, has not been offered a new contract as his expires at the end of the season, but a Blues spokesperson left the door open for his return, saying: “John was advised that while no new deal was currently on the table, that situation could change in the coming months.” (REPORT)

    • I don’t understand the Galaxy’s return to old and used up Euro “stars”. Beckham and Keane have been great additions, but that cannot be your MLS recruiting policy. I think that Ashley Cole is going to be an unmitigated disaster.

    • i’m sorry, but while Cole is a questionable signing, de Jong is a very solid signing. in fact, every US media outlet i have seen said it is a fantastic signing. and these were the same folks blasting them for Cole. this guy had a down period but was very solid otherwise. even if i hate him for what he did to Holden.
