AC Milan will not have one, but two U.S. men’s national team stars in its squad for the start of the new European season.

Yunus Musah completed his permanent transfer to the Rossoneri from La Liga club Valencia, both clubs announced Friday. Musah, 20, signed a five-year contract with AC Milan after the Italian club agreed to a €20 million ($21.9 million) transfer fee with Valencia for his signature.

His contract will run until June 2028.

Musah is the latest summer signing for AC Milan, joining USMNT teammate Christian Pulisic, as well as fellow midfielders Samuel Chukwueze, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Tijjani Reijnders.

Musah spent the last four seasons with Valencia after making the move from Arsenal’s academy in 2019. He totaled 108 combined appearances for the Spanish club, scoring five goals and adding three assists.

Valencia fought off relegation from La Liga this past season, with Musah making 37 combined appearances for Valencia in 2022-23.

He also remains a top talent for the USMNT, earning 24 caps to date and lifting the Concacaf Nations League title on two occasions (2021, 2023).

The Rossoneri finished fourth in Serie A this past season, clinching them a spot in the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League group stage. Stefano Pioli’s squad reached the UCL semifinals last season before being eliminated by rivals Inter Milan in the Final Four.

AC Milan has two final summer friendlies before opening its league schedule at Bologna on August 21.

Stefano Pioli’s squad opens their Serie A schedule on August 21 against Bologna.
