Dutch giants PSV return to the UEFA Champions League group stage on Wednesday with a tough Matchday 1 test against English club Arsenal.
Sergino Dest, Ricardo Pepi, and Malik Tillman will all be hoping to play a part in Wednesday’s trip to the Emirates Stadium. Dest has featured regularly since his arrival on loan from Barcelona, most recently starting in last weekend’s 4-0 Eredivisie victory over NEC Nijmegen. The U.S. men’s national team defender could play either left or right back if needed in Peter Bosz’s squad.
Tillman and Pepi have remained on the bench in recent weeks, although both enjoyed positive windows with the USMNT in September. Pepi scored twice in victories over Uzbekistan and Oman while Tillman delivered a strong start in the September window finale against Oman. Pepi recently scored against NEC Nijmegen, but might be reduced to a role off the bench with PSV seeking a strong opening night result in London.
Elsewhere in Champions League play, Christian Pulisic and AC Milan host Newcastle United in UCL group stage play. Brenden Aaronson and Union Berlin visit Real Madrid.
Elsewhere in Europe, George Bello and LASK host Liverpool in Europa League play. Mark McKenzie and Genk take on Fiorentina in Conference League group stage action.
In England, Haji Wright and Coventry City face a trip to Cardiff City in EFL Championship play.
