Americans Abroad Weekend Preview: Pulisic, McKennie, and more

A quartet of U.S. men’s national team stars will take the field on Sunday with three points at premium in Serie A play.

Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah and AC Milan face off with Weston McKennie, Tim Weah and Juventus in a headlining Serie A showdown.

Pulisic and Musah are both finding their groove with the Rossoneri of late, as Stefano Pioli’s squad sit top of the league table. Pulisic has four goals this season following his summer move from Chelsea while Musah has earned more playing time in recent weeks than immediately after his arrival from Valencia.

Juventus will fight to move closer to the top spot in Serie A with three points on Sunday night. McKennie and Weah have rotated at times at right wing back for the Old Lady, both seeing time in Massimiliano Allegri’s set up. McKennie could move back to his natural midfield role following Nicolo Fagioli’s recent seven-month suspension, allowing Weah to see more time out wide.

Juventus hasn’t defeated AC Milan in competitive action since January 2021 and will be seeking to snap that streak this weekend.

In England, Antonee Robinson, Tim Ream and Fulham visit London rivals Tottenham. Luca Koleosho and Burnley visit Brentford.

In Spain, Luca De La Torre and Celta Vigo face off with Atletico Madrid.

In Germany, Gio Reyna and Borussia Dortmund host Werder Bremen. John Brooks and Hoffenheim welcome Paxten Aaronson and Eintracht Frankfurt to town.

Elsewhere, Folarin Balogun and AS Monaco host Metz. Sergino Dest and PSV host Fortuna Sittard. Gabriel Slonina and Eupen visit Union St. Gilloise. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Celtic travel to Hearts. Johnny Cardoso and Internacional host Santos.
