USWNT paired with Argentina, Mexico in CONCACAF W Gold Cup

The U.S. women’s national team has learned two of its three group stage opponents for the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup.

Argentina and Mexico and have been drawing with Twila Kilgore’s squad, CONCACAF revealed Monday during the group stage draw. Either Guyana or the Dominican Republic will join the Americans as well in Group A, following their single-leg qualification playoff matchup.

The winners of Haiti vs. Puerto Rico and El Salvador vs. Guatemala will also seal their berths into the group stage. All Group A games, and the qualification playoffs, will be held between Feb. 20-26 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Copa America Femenina champion Brazil is set for a replay of their 2022 final against Colombia in Group B. Panama and the winner of Haiti-Puerto Rico will also be in Group B, whom will play their group stage matches from Feb. 21-27 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California.

Group C will feature Canada, Paraguay, Costa Rica, and the winner of El Salvador vs. Guatemala. Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas will serve as the host venue of Group C’s fixtures from Feb. 22-28.

The top two from each group, along with the two best-ranked third place finishers will then qualify for the knockout round, which runs March 2-3 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Snapdragon Stadium will also host the tournament semifinals on March 6 and final on March 10.

Group A: United States, Mexico, Argentina, Prelims Winner 3

Group B: Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Prelims Winner 1

Group C: Canada, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Prelims Winner 2
