Borussia Moenchengladbach resumes its Bundesliga schedule on Saturday with Joe Scally and his teammates facing a daunting test.
Scally and Gladbach will aim for a major upset against league-leading Bayern Munich. The U.S. men’s national team right back hasn’t relinquished his starting spot this season, logging 17 appearances to date. Whether it’s on the left side or right side of the Gladbach backline, the 22-year-old Scally has remained a constant for the club this season. His versatility will surely be on Mauricio Pochettino’s mind with CONCACAF Nations League play only two months away.
Gladbach are up to eighth place in the league standings and a victory over Bayern for the first time since February 2023 could propel them as high as third by weekend’s end.
