Christian Pulisic returned to action on Sunday while Yunus Musah also played an impactful role in AC Milan’s Serie A win.
Pulisic scored once from the penalty spot while Musah added one assist as the Rossoneri defeated Parma 3-2 at the San Siro. The victory moved AC Milan up to sixth place in the league standings.
After conceding first, AC Milan tied the match up before halftime thanks to Pulisic’s confident penalty-kick finish. Pulisic stroked home into the bottom-left corner, giving him his sixth Serie A goal of the season.
Enrico Del Prato regained Parma’s advantage in the second half but the Rossoneri would use a pair of stoppage time goals to tie and eventually win the match.
Musah’s cutting pass allowed Tijjani Reijnders to equalize in the 92nd minute before Samuel Chukwueze delivered the winning goal three minutes later.
The result marked AC Milan’s first home league win since November 30 and their first overall at home since December 11.
Both Pulisic and Musah will likely play a part in AC Milan’s UEFA Champions League finale on Wednesday at Dinamo Zagreb.
Musah assist was reslly nice. Dude is starting to ball.
With Mckennie, Weah, and Reyna all participating in the CWC this summer, Musah will be intergal for the US midfield at the Gold Cup.
I saw a roster from an England U15 team, from 2017-18. The team included Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer and Jamal Musiala. Pretty good team.
The captain was Yunus Musah.
I saw about half the game, nobody on AC Milan looked good. Pretty much the entire team was flat and ineffective. For what it’s worth, Musah was involved and had a few decent sequences with the ball. Pulisic was very quiet, although he took the PK quite well.
Leao and Theo were both taken off at halftime. Then Morata came off in the second half. Pulisic was the only starting attacker to get 90. But honestly, they could have taken him off instead of Morata.
Thought he looked tentative and his touch was off….right up until he buried the penalty. After that he was really sharp, then faded some towards the end, looked tired. Not unexpected given the time off and going the distance will def help going forward. Musah just keeps getting better. Leao and Theo were terrible and deserved to be pulled at half. Pavlovich was Milan’s best player in this one.
Musah is evolving into a key contributor for AC Milan. He started in midfield again and continued to put in good performances. That he also put time in at wingback shows a growing confidence by the coaching staff.
