Aidan Dausch joins Forest Green Rovers on season-long loan

U.S. youth national team forward Aidan Dausch is headed to England’s fifth-tier.

Dausch has joined Forest Green Rovers on a season-long loan spell from Coventry City, both clubs announced Monday. The 19-year-old forward has come up through the Sky Blues’ youth ranks and made his first-team debut as a 17-year-old.

He made nine appearances for National League South side St. Albans City last season, scoring two goals.

“Aidan is an exciting talent that we’re delighted to work with here at Forest Green,” FGR manager Robbie Savage said. “We’re thankful to Frank Lampard and Coventry City for allowing us to bring Aidan and Isaac [Moore] to the football club. We’re excited to see them both develop and help us in our quest for promotion.”

Born in London, Dausch has made two appearances for the U.S. Under-20 men’s national team to date. He is eligible for both the United States and England at the international level.

Forest Green Rovers open up its 2025-26 league schedule on Saturday against Solihull Moors.

    • Forest Green is in the 5th division. Mark Robins seemed to believe in him a few stoppage time appearances in 23/24, but when Lampard arrived he was sent on loan to the 6th division and now the 5th. Still an outside chance of making U20 WC with Fletcher injured and if the guys in front of him have release issues.
