Antonee Robinson and Fulham are hitting the road in the Round of 16 of the EFL Cup.
A trip to League One’s Wycombe Wanderers awaits Marco Silva’s men in the next round after the Round of 16 draw was made on Wednesday evening. Fulham edged past Cambridge United 1-0 on Tuesday, using a second-half goal from Emile Smith-Rowe to advance in the competition.
Robinson, 28, logged the full 90 minutes in the Cottagers’ starting lineup. It marked his first 90-minute performance at club level since May. The U.S. men’s national team left back had been in and out of the squad this summer due to him recovering from offseason knee surgery.
Fulham will be favored to advance past the League One club, who defeated Wigan Athletic 2-0 on Tuesday. The West London club are one of 11 Premier League sides remaining in the competition, with several due to suffer elimination in the next round.
There are four All-Premier League ties in the Round of 16 including Arsenal vs. Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham facing Newcastle United.
