The U.S. women’s national team are one result away from becoming SheBelieves Cup Champions once again.
Emma Hayes’ squad edged CONCACAF rivals Canada 1-0 on Wednesday in Columbus, Ohio to move to 2-0-0 in the competition. The Americans will conclude tournament play on Saturday against Colombia needing a win or draw to bring home the trophy.
Hayes made 10 changes to her starting lineup from Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Argentina, with only Gisele Thompson the lone starter to retain her spot.
Following a goal-less first half, the USWNT grabbed the only goal of the match in the 55th minute. Rose Lavelle’s corner kick bounced its way to Ally Sentnor in the box before the forward gathered possession and drilled a low shot into the bottom-right corner.
It marked Sentnor’s seventh-career USWNT goal.
Emma Sears, Lindsey Heaps, Lily Yohannes, and Jaedyn Shaw all featured off of the bench as the Americans held on for three points.
Phallon Tullis-Joyce registered a one-save clean sheet for the Americans, keeping the squad’s shutout streak going at 625 minutes dating back to Fall 2025.
The USWNT will next head to Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey for Saturday’s SheBelieves Cup finale.
