Americans Abroad Weekend Preview: Aaronson, Agyemang, and more

Leeds United will seek its first trip to the FA Cup semifinals since 1987 but standing in their way is relegation-threatened West Ham United.

Brenden Aaronson and his Leeds teammates will visit the London Stadium on Sunday seeking to continue a strong run in this season’s competition. Aaronson has struggled to replicate his goal contributions that carried into the new year, but he’s remained a consistent starter in Daniel Farke’s starting lineup.

The U.S. men’s national team attacker will be seeking to register his first goal or assist since scoring twice against Newcastle United on January 7. After a lackluster USMNT window last month, Aaronson will be hoping to get back on track fast.

If Leeds United wants to take a trip to Wembley later this month, having Aaronson among the standout stars will be needed.

Elsewhere in England, Patrick Agyemang and Haji Wright meet in EFL Championship Good Friday action. Aidan Morris and Middlesbrough take on Millwall.

In Spain, Johnny Cardoso and Atletico Madrid host Barcelona. Alex Freeman and Villarreal visit Girona.

In Germany, Noahkai Banks and Damion Downs go head-to-head in Bundesliga play. Malik Tillman and Bayer Leverkusen host Wolfsburg.

In Italy, Christian Pulisic and AC Milan visit Napoli while Weston McKennie and Juventus host Genoa.

In France, Folarin Balogun and Monaco face off with Tim Weah and Marseille in Ligue 1’s headlining match of the weekend.

Elsewhere, Ricardo Pepi and PSV host FC Utrecht in Eredivisie action. Auston Trusty and Celtic take on Dundee FC seeking a bounce-back league result. George Bello, Sam Adineran and LASK host Austria Vienna. Bryan Reynolds and Westerlo host Sporting Charleroi as the Belgian league season continues.
